Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.452

Is this Zeta Gundam?

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 452nd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we’ll take the time to talk about P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcement! Finally, we have an actual Gunpla release announcement to talk about here!

So, without further ado. Let’s get into it, shall we?

MG 1/100 Gundam F90 Mission Pack P-Type (MG)

Estimated price: JPY 2,420 (MYR RM 79.43* / USD $ 17.77* / EUR € 16.66*)

Have you ever wished that your MG F90 would look more like a Zeta Gundam? Better yet, do you want a kit that could transform into Zeta’s Waverider form without an elaborate transformation process?

Well, rejoice, my dear readers, because Bandai finally decided to unveil the MG F90 Mission Pack P-Type.

You might be wondering, how does this relate to the Zeta? Well, to be honest? It doesn’t have anything to do with the Zeta, heck the F90 wasn’t even designed to be a transformable MS. However, that is not to say that it couldn’t have an expansion that would enable it to be one.

Yes, this MG F90 Mission Pack P-Type is an expansion that finally answers the question: can you convert the F90 into a Zeta Gundam variant? After looking at this, we all know the answer to that question, eh? But best of all, we finally have a Zeta-like kit that doesn’t require an elaborate transformation process to convert from MS to Waverider form.

Although, admittedly, we here think that the MG F90 P-Type expansion looks hilariously weird on the MG F90, especially the two bulky P-Type shields. Seriously, they looked like they would get in the way of posing the MG F90 with them equipped. Plus, we have a feeling that these two would be heavy too. We can’t imagine the MG F90 could hold any poses with those two shields weighing it down.

Don’t let me start on how funny it looked when you do convert it into the Waverider form.

But even with that said, we admit that we love how it looked, and honestly? We want them to keep releasing weird stuff for the MG F90 like this. Why?

We know this sounds weird, but looking at all these F90’s Mission packs designs, we can see what the designers (in the manga) are trying to do. No matter how insane the idea of the mission packs is.

That is why even today, we still find ourselves excited for new MG F90 releases. We love these insane mission pack expansion designs, and we admit that we always look forward to more F90 Mission Pack expansions.

That is why we are definitely preordering this!

And that concludes our 452nd edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Finally, we get some delicious Gunpla news after weeks of no updates.

And we think it’s fitting that they started with one series that we’re looking forward to seeing new updates here.

Anyways. We’ll be back again next Saturday (hopefully) with a new blog post. Do look forward to that!
